Who we are
Newark Heating & Cooling serves homeowners across Licking County, Ohio with furnace, heat pump and air conditioning repair, replacement and maintenance. We are based in Newark and work in every community in the county, from downtown Newark to farms north of Utica and lake homes at Buckeye Lake.
Our work is residential heating and cooling: the furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners and mini-splits that keep Licking County homes livable through cold winters and humid summers. You can reach us any time by phone or through our contact page.
How we work

- Price before work. You get the price before we start any repair. Replacement estimates are free, written and itemized.
- Repair when repair makes sense. We do not push new equipment on a system that just needs a part. When we recommend replacement, we show you why.
- Sized right. Every new system is sized with a load calculation, not copied from the old label.
- Safety first. Every furnace visit includes a carbon monoxide and venting check.
- Permits pulled. Replacements are permitted and inspected the way the city and county require.
The question we get asked most at the end of a service call is "what would you do if it were your house?" We answer it honestly every time, even when the answer is to keep the old furnace running a few more winters.

What we know about Licking County homes
Heating and cooling work is local. Older homes around downtown Newark and in Granville have chimneys, ductwork and basements that need a different approach than the newer subdivisions in Pataskala and Johnstown. Homes in the northern and southern parts of the county are more likely to run on propane or electric heat. Lake homes around Buckeye Lake fight humidity all summer. We plan every job around the house in front of us.
